# Setting up your group

> Everything you need to do to get your angel group live on AngelHub.

This guide walks you through the complete first-time setup of your angel group on AngelHub. It should take around 20 minutes.

## Before you start

You'll need:

* Your group's name and a brief description
* A list of your current members and their email addresses
* Your group's logo (optional but recommended)

## Step 1 — Complete your group profile

After signing in for the first time, you'll be prompted to complete your group profile. Fill in:

* **Group name** — the name that appears throughout the platform
* **Description** — a short summary of your group's focus and geography (2–3 sentences)
* **Logo** — upload a PNG or SVG file. Recommended size: 400×400px minimum

## Step 2 — Configure your pipeline stages

AngelHub ships with a default six-stage pipeline: Created, Screening, Pitching, Due Diligence, Closing, Completed.

If your group uses different stage names, you can rename them in **Settings → Pipeline**.

  Renaming a stage affects all projects in your group. If you have live projects, rename stages before inviting members to avoid confusion.

## Step 3 — Set up your application form

The default application form captures the information most angel groups need. On the **Scale plan**, you can customise the form fields in **Settings → Application form**.

## Step 4 — Invite your members

See the [Inviting members](/admin/inviting-members) guide. At minimum, invite Assessors before you start receiving applications.

## Step 5 — Set up your sending email address

AngelHub sends group emails from an address you configure in **Admin → Emails → Sending addresses**.

You have two options:

* **AngelHub address (instant, free)** — choose a name and get an `@angelhub.net` address immediately. For example: `djangels@angelhub.net`.
* **Your own domain (£50 one-off)** — enter the address you want (e.g. `deals@dorsетangels.co.uk`). AngelHub registers the domain with the email provider and shows you the DNS records to add. Once your DNS is verified the address goes live. A £50 charge is taken before setup begins.

Free and Pro plans include 1 sending address. Scale includes 5.

  Group admins, assessors, and project leads can all compose and send group emails. The composer is available from the Emails screen.

## Step 6 — Add your payment card

Add a payment card in **Admin → Billing**. This card is used for the £50 per-project Due Diligence charge. See [Managing billing](/admin/managing-billing) for full details.

## Step 7 — Test with a dummy application

Submit a test application through your public application link to confirm the form works. Your public link is shown in **Settings → Application form → Share link**.

## You're ready

Share the application link with entrepreneurs and invite your angels to join.
