# Reading a deal summary

> How to navigate a project in AngelHub and understand what you are looking at.

## Finding your active deals

When you log in, your dashboard shows all projects in Pitching, DD, Closing, and Completed stages. Projects needing your attention are highlighted.

## The project view tabs

**Summary** — the entrepreneur's application. Read this in full before looking at anything else.

**Screening** — the Assessor's notes. Useful context before a pitch.

**Coverage map** — an 11-topic grid showing DD progress. Green = addressed, amber = partially covered, red = not yet investigated.

**Due diligence** — detailed findings across 8 areas of investigation: business model, team, IP and technology, market and competition, product, financial model, legal and operations, and risk and decision. Read the sections most relevant to your expertise or your investment decision.

**Notes** — your private notes on this deal.

## What to focus on

1. **The summary first** — understand the business before looking at DD findings
2. **The coverage map** — get a quick read on DD progress and where the gaps are
3. **The DD sections most relevant to your expertise**
4. **The Project Lead's notes** — their synthesis is often the most efficient starting point
5. **The WNTBB summary** — the structured argument for or against investing. Read it carefully before the group decision meeting.

## Asking good questions

If something raises a question, use AngelAI or the project Q\&A to explore it. Don't sit on a concern — raise it with the Project Lead or ask AngelAI to help you think it through.
